A disruptive geospatial intelligence contractor championing the idea that "better is possible."
↳Content
OGSystems is a geospatial intelligence company committed to the idea that better is possible; they are redefining what it means to be a government contractor, admitting that commercial capabilities and ingenuity can be part of solving government challenges.
Challenge:
They needed a brand that reflected and amplified their ideals, passion, energy, and vigor. A brand that truly sets them apart, they announced their intention to shake things up, disrupt, and innovate on old approaches to doing things in the government contracting space. They weren’t there to play it safe; they were there to take risks!
Solution:
I developed a visual identity that embraces the geospatial landscape they operate in, opting for a blue and green color palette in line with the globe, amping up the green color’s vibrancy to reflect their high energy and presence. We then tied it together with modern typography for sophistication, and a distinct imagery style that pushed the envelope for the industry. Every design choice was intended to reinforce OGSystems’ differentiated approach, energy, and enthusiasm.
Implementation:
For the initial push, we revamped their presence with a visually engaging website, collaterals, apparel, and other general swag, slowly introducing the Geospatial intelligence world to OGSystems. We fully launched the brand at the year's GEOINT Symposium with a new booth, swag, and vibrant green polo shirts that flooded the show floor. Every decision was a stepping stone to making a lasting impact on all who experienced it.
Outcomes:
OGSystems was the talk of the show, the industry buzzed, and for several years after, the industry wanted to see how OGSystems would show up. Combined with the company's growing reputation for delivering, the brand flourished. The success eventually led to Parsons acquiring OGSystems, citing the brand as a significant reason for the acquisition. Parsons later rebranded, taking direct inspiration from the OGSystems brand.
